Women tend to have less access and skills in information and communication technologies than men do. Hence, why this is the Gender Digital Divide. Old age stereotypes about the behavior of men and women are the lead reasons their exist a gender divide.
A lack of career options is a result of the divide, women are not seen in ICT roles, especially as you got up the chain of command. The gender divide does however change depending on where in the world we are talking about, some societies gender digital divide is wider than others.
In the US “eighty percent of jobs require tech skills, and companies are counting on transformational change“, women can benefit from gaining skills in ICTs, the potential to earn more and achieve high level positions can be an exciting venture.
